The Car’s History

I am the fourth owner and the second enthusiast owner of the car.  The third owner kept a detailed log of service and parts, so the car has a detailed history from ’85 to present.

The car was originally silver and was repainted GM Arctic White by the second owner in ’83.  Above is what the car looked like new.

 

The Hunt

Sometime in ’97 I saw an interesting coupe in our town that I couldn’t recognize.  After some investigation, I found out that the cream with black vinyl top car was an XJ6C.  I researched the car and found out that there was a V12 version.  That sounded really exotic….who wouldn’t want to own a V12 car.  I had grown up around American muscle cars, but didn’t really feel like I fit in a black ’76 Trans Am any more.  This V12 coupe seemed to have the DNA of any good muscle car……a large engine packed inside a shorten sedan body.
