XJ12C For Sale

Happy Thanksgiving all!! It’s been a long time since my last post. We have moved to Salt Lake City and until the new garage is built, the coupe is in storage. It’s been running great, but I haven’t taken it out much. I saw this pop up on EBay for $46,500 and thought it would be a good one to capture here.

Love the very ’70’s greensand color
This looks to be a pretty stock car with a nice repaint at some point.
It has this plaque, which is interesting. There were no limited production version of these from the factory, although the entire production of less than 2,000 with the V12 could be considered limited production. Maybe it was a dealer promotion of some kind.
The first few interior pictures make the interior look darker than the stock color so I thought it had been re-dyed, but later images show a normal tan color. The interior looks original.
Clean engine that looks like it still has all the smog stuff which will be good in California as it’s a ’76 not a ’75. I don’t see the ignition module on top of the radiator so it might be in the original location down in the V. The black cap has been removed from the manifold pressure sensor. Someone was playing around with that adjustment. On a stock engine like this one, it really shouldn’t need any adjustment. It’s rare to see the covers still on the headlight fuse boxes on the radiator rail. Most have been lost, so the previous owner(s) cared about the details which is nice.
Solid looking floor and rockers. Some oil under the differential which is probably the diff output seals leaking. It’s a pretty common issue with these as heat from the inboard brakes can cause the seals to harden and leak quicker than on other cars.
This is an overall great looking, mostly original car that the new owner will be able to experience as Jaguar intended.

Selling my Z4M Roadster

This car is a blast to drive, but its time to make space in the garage for different toys and projects. I always considered this the last analog sportscar from BMW as its the last non-turbo, manual transmission high performance car they made. Here are the listings on Autotrader and Facebook if you are interested.

XJC’s Everywhere

I can’t believe I have never seen these before. Thank you Wayne for sending them to me. Here are three videos of different XJC Musters in Australia. I doubt there is anywhere else in the world that has so many XJC’s gather in one place. The main picture above is of Wayne’s beast of an XJ12C, and at the bottom is a video of it on the dyno…..enjoy…….

XJ12C For Sale – 2G50126

I posted about this coupe for sale last year and it was picked up to support an awesome restomod coupe project. When the new owner looked at the car, he was surprised that the body was in better shape than he expected. It is now bidding here on Ebay.

Here is the owners description:

I bought this car as a parts car to my Jaguar XJ12C restoration. It is missing some minor things but almost everything is there. The body has surface rust from sitting outside for decades. Surprisingly I have not found any significant rust on the undercarriage or chassis. Even the area under the rear windows appear solid.

XJ12C HE Build

For your reading pleasure, Greg introduced me to his website that goes through a pretty cool coupe build. He took a coupe with a non-running V12 and replaced it with a later model HE V12 and GM400 transmission. What’s really impressive is he did the work himself.
