This car looks like it might be fun to bring up to working condition if you are a masochist like I am and actually enjoy a lot of wrenching. Its on Ebay and doesn’t look like it has a reserve.
The pictures give the impression of a solid starting point for a manageable (but long) DIY restoration.
All exterior trim looks to be there, but its tough to tell if any of the chrome will need replating
It may just be the lighting but in multiple pictures the right rear quarter panel looks darker.
Lots of interior work required, starting with the wood dash
All seat leather could use replacement. There are some reasonably priced online vendors that have both front and rear seat leather replacements. The good news here is that the seats seem to have a good shape, so maybe only the leather needs replacing.
Hard to to tell from the pictures, but maybe some of the vinyl can be dyed instead of replaced
Looks complete…..but rough. Would definitely recommend replacing the fuel injection harness and all fuel hoses. While you are at that, why not just take the extra time to re-seal the valve covers and do some detailing.
Not sure why the spring at the yellow arrow is there. Looks like someone forgot to put back the throttle return spring when doing some work
Rear end looks a little dark so there may be diff seal leaking. I wouldn’t worry about it though, you are definitely dropping the entire rear end and at the very least going through the brakes, but while there might as well replace diff seals and probably the shocks.
Would love to hear from the new owner of this one to see how they get along with the rebuild. Please send me a note if you pick this up.
