This 1975 coupe from St. Louis Car Museum is a European model that looks great. Asking price is $28,900.
This is a great looking white / black coupe with Euro features. Looks sleek without the US side markers.
Very nice larger 7″ outer headlights and chrome bumper. Has the 6 cylinder instead of the V12 grill though. Nice and practical passenger mirror.
Looks like the original vinyl top in great shape. Window rubber also looks good
XJ5.3C vs US XJ12C badging and great looking chrome bumper
Has standard wheels where all US bound XJ’s had chromed disc wheels in ’75. Also the leaping jaguar badge is from a series 3 not series 2.
Black interior is in great shape. Has standard manual side mirrors where all US cars had the “remote-control exterior mirrors”
Leather looks great and even the piping around the seat is not showing the typical wear.
Dash and wood look great
KMH speedo
Some type of switch added next to the door locking switch.
rear seat leather also looks great
a lot of the headliners sag at this age. This one looks good
Some type of non-stock coating on underside of hood
Engine looks tidy and stock. Air intakes repainted and do not have the original stickers and one missing the plastic end piece.
Engine bay painted black.
Stock Opus ignition in the engine V. Would recommend at least moving to the top of the radiator rail. Being a Euro car it does not have any of the air injection or catalysts
Pretty dry looking rear
Some work and detailing here to the transmission pan, driveshaft…..
….oil pan, cross brace and suspension. It looks like only the oil pan was removed as the sandwich plate has a normal amount of grime.
This is a great looking and rare European version of the coupe. These cars bring more money in Europe so this is a real anomaly in the US. I am the only XJ12C when attending shows and this one will certainly be more rare and popular at a local British car show.
