#127 is well shot and looks really good in the photos. Classic Showcase doesn’t list asking prices, but this seems to be in as good a shape as #721 that listed in March for $25k.
Great photos. Cars only came with black vinyl tops, so the change to brown must have occurred when repainted
Looks good on stock chrome wheels and whitewalls. Has non-stock straight tailpipes
Has the XJ6 not the XJ12 grill and the non OEM leaper on the hood
This is a great, stock looking interior. Even the steering wheel is stock. I had only driven my car a few minutes when I decided it needed a leather wrap and then later changed it out for a smaller diameter wheel. It takes self control not to change out that steering wheel. All the wood, plastic trim and seat leather look really good in the pictures. The only thing that looks off is the vinyl on the door cards have large wrinkles, this should be tight and flat.
The engine bay looks unmodified. Based on the condition of the rubber boots, the injection wiring harness looks newer. I’d recommend the new owner get it out of the V and tie it to the fuel rail. Sounds like there was recent work on the heads, so it would be good to understand why the work needed to be done. It wouldn’t take much to mount the fuel filter in the stock location and lose the tie wraps.
Nice signs of maintenance, such as the brake fluid has been changed recently enough that its not dark brown
Signs of recent work on the AC, which probably means it works.
Would love to see some underside shots and pictures of the sun visors that they made. Would recommend a PPI on the suspension and brakes and a good understanding of why the head work needed to be done. Just guessing here, but since the radiator was also re-cored, the engine may have overheated.
