Happy Thanksgiving all!! It’s been a long time since my last post. We have moved to Salt Lake City and until the new garage is built, the coupe is in storage. It’s been running great, but I haven’t taken it out much. I saw this pop up on EBay for $46,500 and thought it would be a good one to capture here.
Selling my Z4M Roadster
This car is a blast to drive, but its time to make space in the garage for different toys and projects. I always considered this the last analog sportscar from BMW as its the last non-turbo, manual transmission high performance car they made. Here are the listings on Autotrader and Facebook if you are interested.
XJ12C For Sale
Here is a ’76 coupe for sale in Kansas for $14,995 that might be great, but there is an unknown amount of body work required.

I can’t believe I have never seen these before. Thank you Wayne for sending them to me. Here are three videos of different XJC Musters in Australia. I doubt there is anywhere else in the world that has so many XJC’s gather in one place. The main picture above is of Wayne’s beast of an XJ12C, and at the bottom is a video of it on the dyno…..enjoy…….

It’s been a while since I have posted and I will explain why further down in the post. After replacing the manifold pressure sensor, the car has been running beautifully and I used it for most of my errands around town this summer. There was one minor hiccup though……..

I posted about this coupe for sale last year and it was picked up to support an awesome restomod coupe project. When the new owner looked at the car, he was surprised that the body was in better shape than he expected. It is now bidding here on Ebay.
Here is the owners description:
I bought this car as a parts car to my Jaguar XJ12C restoration. It is missing some minor things but almost everything is there. The body has surface rust from sitting outside for decades. Surprisingly I have not found any significant rust on the undercarriage or chassis. Even the area under the rear windows appear solid. |
Testing and Adjusting Manifold Pressure Sensor
As you can probably guess from my last post, I am pretty frustrated that there is not a way to properly test the manifold pressure sensor. I want to be able to tell in the future if the one that’s working now has changed its operating characteristics, so I came up with a method to test.

For your reading pleasure, Greg introduced me to his website that goes through a pretty cool coupe build. He took a coupe with a non-running V12 and replaced it with a later model HE V12 and GM400 transmission. What’s really impressive is he did the work himself.
XJ12C For Sale
Here is yet another 1975 project coupe for sale with a $5,000 asking price. This one is on the Reno Craigslist with very little information, but the good part is it looks to have been stored inside. Thanks to fellow coupe owner Riley for letting me know about this one.
