Homecoming

At the time I was living in Milwaukee, so I took a flight to Omaha, was met by the seller and we went to see the car.  It looked amazing.  We finished the deal and I hit the road for the drive back to Milwaukee.

At first, all was good…the car ran well and even the AC worked.  Once I got on the freeway it was clear something was wrong.  There was a rapid….thump-thump-thump at higher speeds coming through the suspension.  I pulled off to a Sears Auto Center and found that the tires had flat spots.  Quick call to my wife letting her know that the car investment was going to be a bit higher than expected, four new tires later and I hit the road again.

The tire change set my schedule back so I pulled over to a motel for the night…but could hardly sleep and wanted to get back on the road.  Got going early the next morning and enjoyed getting to know the car on the long drive home.  Here are some pictures of the car as it looked right after buying it.
