I have been tracking the North American sales of XJ12C’s for a number of years, so I thought I would start to log the sales and some observations about the cars.
Recently, asking prices have been rising. I think these are based on the BringATrailer anomaly that sold for $103k. That was an awesome resto-mod. I am most interested in the cars with original V12’s and may not post those that have been converted to V8’s.
This ’76 coupe is in New York with a BIN of $25k
Greensand with black interior
Great looking 7 inch outer headlight upgrade and looks good on the wire wheels
What is shown on the seat looks good. Some work must have been done here or the headrests would be floppy
these two pictures make one question when the rest of the pictures were taken as they are obviously from different times
I am not a fan of the exhaust tips, but this is easy to change. Has non stock rear muffler so may sound nice where in stock form its very quiet
Nice that the trunk isn’t all hacked up with a sound system
Area under the rear diff looks pretty dry, so little or no seal leaking
Its impressive that this car still has the undertray (Mine never did and I have been looking for one forever) This “radiator undershield” was introduced on the XJ12 in 1975 to improve cooling.
Tidy looking engine. Injection harness is in good shape. Air injection gone also looks like the overrun valves have been removed. Also looks like it has the original OPUS ignition in the original spot in the V. Surprised that hasn’t been problematic and either updated to the top of the rail or replaced with an after market setup.
